Since my childhood I was passionated by dogs and had especially a preference for hunting dogs.
It was more than obvious that I choosed, together with my partner, for a breed that contains an athletic, sportive and a little bit of a naughty dog. For us, a Weimaraner is so much more than a companion dog in family connection.
This breeds need his people and family around them. Weimaraners give unconditional love and affection. They give children the feeling that someone cares about them, without any demand from their site. Their expression and manners let anyone smile, but these loving clowns become persistent defenders if necessary.
When we got our first dog, we were extremely charmed by the intelligence and sportsmanship of this dog - as small he even was - and obviously because of their wonderful looks. Please be careful, dont let tempt you because of their beauty, because Weimaraners are the most dominant breed under the hunting dogs. Their education as a pup is, like most Weimaraners, a huge challenge. The experience with previous dogs was more than welcome and the dog school no superfluous luxury...
Thats how our dogs growned into a well balanced matured dog, with soft but firm education. Weekly, we train our dogs for showing, obedience and fieldwork. Now and then, we go to the fields were they can amuse them extremely in of what Mother Nature in this breed requires. If they are raised with other pets, they are always respectable. However, these cute dogs stay hunting dogs and now and then their disturbances of their instincts comes before all.
Dogs are in the centre of our lives and they take a very special place in our harts and family. Weimaraners are real naughty dogs who enjoys to nap with their legs in the air...
Now and then we have puppies available for screened homes.

Buddy doesn't like showing that much, however he gained 3 showchampiontitles... He is International Ch, Belgian Ch and Luxembourgs Ch. In 2003 he became also youth Ch of Luxembourg.
Belgian and International Ch titles, are only valued in combination with a field trial qualification. For the Belgian Ch title, at least a field "CQN" qualification is necessary, for the INTER CH title, at least a field qualficiation "good" is required .
Workingresults
As working field dog, he is the most awarded dog today in Belgium and the first weimaraner who won both hunting challenge cups in 1 year ... He became TOP HUNTING weimaraner in 2005 and 2006 (field trials) and TOP HUNTING weimaraner "huntingtests" in 2006 ...
At field trials (open for all breeds Continental I and II),

We have met "Edmund aka Eddy" in the German fields... This boy catched the eye at once. He is a middle sized dog (65 cm/25.59 inches), nice type, complete sizzer bite and correct build. His range is wide and constantely, his point is firm and carefully . Also his flush is a peace of cake. He has big waterpassion and retrieves with ease wild game. His bite is very soft. As hunters, field trial & hunttest people, we find this important to examen this qualities in a future "daddy". The highest points he has at "search in the field" (HZP), and this is what we looked for. His pedigree contains real good workingdogs, all with excellent VJP and HZP results.
Xena is our youngest female, she is almost 3 years old. This will be her first litter. She is very keen on finding game, always in to go outside. She is far from a lazy weimaraner. She is very birdy, and has good biddiness. Her mum is one of the most rewarded weims in EU these days. Both on beauty as on huntingskills, she proved her "quality" at BE FT and at workingtests. Her dad, Le Fol du Vent Fala Love'a, has proved he is more than only a showdog, by winning CACT at CZ versatile trials, comparable to German VGP.
We expect from this litter good workers so we give prior to hunters or people who want to work their puppy.
Here at Flanders Joy kennel, particular care is taken with our breeding program, litters are carefully planned and timed.
Puppies at Flanders Joy are born and raised within the family home.
All pups are given individual attention and assessed for character, temperament and huntingskills. This skills we test on the age of 7 weeks.
New owners are provided with a puppy pack containing a purchasing agreement and an European passport.
